Re-Declaration of Independence

King George III was King of England in 1776 when we declared our independence.  His generals could have killed Gen. Washington, but spared him in hopes that the colonists would reunite with England.  Instead, we bravely fought the British for 4 more years and finally won our independence.

Our Declaration of Independence says the following:

  • We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
  • That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed
  • That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it

Pay close attention to the last (third) bullet point above.  First we must ask “Have governments (globally) been and are they currently destructive with respect to you and I seeking life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?  If so, that third bullet tells us that it is our RIGHT to alter, abolish, change direction.  We at A Return to Peace, LLC propose a step-by-step process for returning to peace. Is it possible, just 240 years after winning our independence from a foreign tyrant, that we have polluted and forfeited all of our gains?  Are we that immature, selfish and arrogant?  And is it possible that we have allowed the very government that was established to avoid the tyranny of King George to explode into a nuclear mushroom cloud of ego, lies, backroom deals with our enemies, leaders secretly accepting pay for favors, an economy trillions of dollars in debt.  Our hard work and our money is pouring out of our country, going to China and the Middle East.  We are on the losing end of the largest transfer of wealth in human history.  Is that the legacy you want to pass on to your children, to succeeding generations?

It’s one thing when you are tyrannized by a tyrant like King George III.  It is quite another when, through your own apathy and stupidity, you do it to yourself.  This is what has happened.  But the good news is that, if we created our modern social issues and given away our free and natural way of life, we can make the decision to take it back.
